Our client, a leading company in the consumer electronics industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Belgium.

As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of SAP and other accounting software systems, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Profile:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English; fluency in French is a strong asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
