Senior Analyst, Research, Discovery / Preclinical

Janssen Research & Development, LLC is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, Research, Discovery / Preclinical, covering the Discovery / Preclinical subcategories. The role will be located in Titusville NJ, but may also sit in Spring House PA, Raritan, NJ or Beerse, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:

Janssen Research & Development Procurement leads procurement activities across all three business sectors (Medical Devices, Consumer, and Pharmaceuticals). The Senior Category Analyst will report into the Manager of the Biomarkers subcategory within the enterprise-wide Research Category and R&D Procurement Category Family and work with other category managers on the Discovery / Preclinical subcategory team. This individual will provide end-to-end category management support, including responsibility for strategy implementation to meet the needs of the business and deliver maximum value to J&J.

The individual will collaborate and manage complex initiatives with R&D business partners/leaders at multiple levels, as well as across-functions, regions, and sectors. This role may serve as a Global Supplier Relationship Manager (GSRM) to strategic suppliers. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountable leadership to ensure the following responsibilities are completed, while collaborating across our three-tier procurement model (Business Unit, Global Services, and Corporate Tier).

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Preferably in Business, Life Sciences, or Supply Chain.
• A minimum of 2 years of related business experience is required. (Preferably in Procurement, Business Operations, Supply Chain, and / or Finance)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to expertly present complex information is required.
• Hands-on experience within the core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management, Sourcing, Category Management or Supplier Management) is preferred.
• This position will ideally be located in Titusville NJ, but may also sit in Spring House PA, Raritan, NJ or Beerse, Belgium and may require up to 10% travel.
