Opportunity
Multinational company active in the field of Healthcare seeks, a software / firmware developer to expand its R & D department.
The ideal resource is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and several years of experience in the role.
Responsibility
  • Software development for medical displays
  • Responsible for the complete software life cycle from specification until delivery including analysis, design & implementation
  • Embedded Software Development, based on customer or internal specification product requirements, from architecture to initial product testing, following a typical IEC 62304 Software Lifecycle V-Model
  • Ownership of the development timeline and basic Project management skills in the schedule management vs. other concurrent development activities
  • Support to unit and system testing, including continuous integration
  • Maintenance of existing codes due to product changes and /or specification updates
  • Preparation of technical documentation related to the FW and to its application within the product, including alignment requirements and regulatory support
  • Promotion and development of ideas, methodologies for optimization and evolution of the products and services of business development
  • Mentoring junior engineers and promoting knowledge inside the team
Required competencies
  • Bachelor or master degree, combined with relevant work experience in software development or electronics related areas
  • Solid experience in the development of firmware for microcontrollers and DSPs
  • Expert in C embedded and C++ programming
  • Excellent product debugging capabilities and problem solving
  • Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Knowledge of digital interfaces such as PWM, I2C, SPI, RS232, USB
  • Excellent ability to work autonomously and to take the lead of a project
  • Good knowledge of tools for software configuration
  • Experience with image & video processing
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation
  • Experience with Version Controlling Systems such as GIT
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and a good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player but also able to work independently
  • Result and quality oriented
  • Availability to travel abroad and collaborate with international colleagues
Considered a plus
  • Good knowledge of high-level programming languages such as Python
  • Experience with medical device development
  • Cyber security
  • Experience with project management
