The Senior Life Cycle Analyst will execute life cycle assessment initiatives that drive progress in key environmental impact areas and drive customer value. In this role, you will build partnerships with internal stakeholders to advance life cycle assessment approach to quantify the full life cycle impact of products and assess impacts against alternatives and supporting market claims.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop life cycle assessments and associated analyses to provide support to the Sustainability Leads in Cargill.
- Implement a global approach to life cycle assessment and product environmental footprinting.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of current product footprinting regulations, voluntary standards, guidance and reporting frameworks.
- Partner collaboratively with relevant data owners to ensure accurate and appropriate data is utilized when conducting life cycle assessments.
- Ensure projects deliver quality results and adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
- Partner with the internal global LCA lead to ensure proper alignment and coordination with Cargill policy on LCA and related matters.
- Oversee a portfolio of life cycle assessment tools and resources.
- Deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment.
- Maintain a network of external LCA practitioners to supplement internal capacity
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with environmental life cycle assessment and carbon foot printing methods, software and standards
- Familiarity with greenhouse gas inventory methodologies and standards
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
- Familiarity with environmental product declarations
- Familiarity with agrifood and/or biobased systems and impact driver
