Purpose statement:

The Site Director is responsible for the daily operations of IDT’s European production in Leuven, Belgium and will ensure that strategy, goals and objectives are aligned with IDT’s strategy and vision for Manufacturing worldwide.

Essential Functions

:
  • Responsible for the daily operations for the Manufacturing site in Belgium.
  • Establish organizational goals and objectives focusing on financial and strategic growth of the organization, that are aligned with the overall strategic direction of the company. Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives. Sets priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan.
  • Provides direction to homogeneous teams and has accountability for the performance and results of the teams and will be responsible for staffing decisions (hiring/termination, staffing projections).
  • Responsible for the annual budget within the organization and manages accordingly to adhere to budget.
  • Responsible for key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and the according implementation timeline.
  • Responsible for production planning.
  • Incorporate company procedures and policies throughout the organization.
  • Implements and manages planning for DBS training and coaching with the team.
  • Responsible for the development and monitoring of quality objectives and KPIs. Develops countermeasures and actions plans to assure objectives remain on-target.
  • Identify monitors and analyzes performance measures to determine staffing requirements, efficiency improvements and performance standards.
  • Define projects aimed at organizational improvement and performance.
  • Insure overall delivery and quality of the organization offerings to customers. Engage in key or targeted customer activities. Work closely with Customer Service /Technical Support to assure customer’s needs are being met.
  • Promote a work environment that provides a positive and rewarding employee experience, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.
  • Responsible for associate engagement. Strives to improve the engagement survey results through execution of the engagement action plan.
  • Interdepartmental / site coordination. Will work closely with support groups to assure consistent operations.
  • Represents IDT as employer representative in the Works Council and Health & Safety Committee.
  • Contribute to the establishment, implementation and improvement of the environmental management systems; take part in management reviews.
  • Assures manufacturing compliance to the IDT Quality System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
  • Be aware of IDT’s policy on and contribute to quality and environmental management by adhering to the requirements of the ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 standards and internal procedures and work instructions.
Education:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • (bio-) chemistry preferred.
Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Management experience required.
