THE SKATEROOM is searching for a Mid to Sr. level Social Media Manager with demonstrated experience growing and analysing the digital presence and reach of brands. You will be mainly responsible for the social media platforms of THE SKATEROOM, working closely with the Comms & Creative Team to help grow our audience and reach. You will also be involved in the company’s various online marketing activities, helping us create social media campaigns which convert and engage our community, even giving advice on what content we should create to best impact our channels. Next to that you’ll challenge our ad agency to improve the usage of our ad budget and focus on growing our digital presence. We want creative ideas, and clean, clear analytics. You in?

About the role:
- You will manage several social media channels for THE SKATEROOM. You will schedule posts on several social media channels at the right times, using content created with the Comms Team. You will be responsible for using effective hashtags and connecting with relevant accounts.
- You will be an expert adviser to the Comms Team, helping us create content which truly converts, offering analytics and reporting which clearly shows where we can improve.
- You will be responsible for managing the online community, including answering customer/audience questions and getting engagement up on posts/Stories.
- You are able to connect the target group to the brand on different channels through community management.
- You will create social media reports of campaigns and are always looking to optimize our social media strategy.
- You will keep track of new social media tools and everything that’s happening in the world of social media and our relevant industries.
- You will activate and build strategies for all acquisition channels (paid, owned) and monitor the performance against the targets and KPI’s
- You will develop conversion rate optimization strategies and assess and monitor the performance against the targets and KPI’s
- You will help build the marketing data structure to track, measure, evaluate and improve marketing actions (already in place?)
- You will help support decisions by data and help maintain the data architecture and quality

About you:
- You’ve acquired a relevant degree, at least ‘hbo’ or a bachelor’s degree;
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience in online marketing and social media (acquisition, CRO, CRM, data)
- Online media excites you and you are always clued up on its most recent developments;
- As one of the first you always know what the latest social media trends are and what goes viral;
- You are well versed in the English and French language, both written and spoken; fluency in at least one is a must.
- You are proactive, punctual and self-reliant;
- You love Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat & Facebook, and understand/stay up to date with the developments of these platforms
- You have the capacity to analyze numbers and draw objective conclusions;
- You have previous experience working in a similar role in one of these expertises (acquisition, CRO, CRM, data) for at least 2 years;
- You are comfortable with technical elements of the web (cookies, html/css, database, …);
- You have proficiency in using advertising, seo, social, email, data, CRM softwares (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Semrush, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Odoo, Salesforce, etc.);
- You have proficiency in using software productivity suite Google Suite
- You (preferably) live in or near Brussels and most importantly, you love what we do;
- Knowledge of the inner workings of the skateboarding industry and affinity with arts are required;
- You’re up for a challenge and like dynamic working environments, therefore you are used to working with strict deadlines and know how to prioritize. You thrive under pressure.
