Function
We’re looking for an IT Coordinator to strengthen our client’s team, bringing a wealth of experience and technical expertise to a challenging and rewarding role. This position demands a seasoned professional who can effectively manage people, processes, and technology in a complex IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the progress in development, operations, and the servicedesk, reporting advancements and challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the operational IT team, contributing hands-on support when necessary.
- Develop technical guidelines, mentor IT professionals in both a technical and process-oriented manner, and challenge them to excel, including hands-on involvement as required.
- Summarize progress and identify bottlenecks in development from a macro-level perspective, utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understand the impact of new functional requirements and make macro-level technical assessments, proposing technical solutions in collaboration with developers and liaising with software houses.
- Assess the technical impact on software houses at a macro-level, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Write documentation for software houses (specifications...), collaborating with team members.
- Create and manage release planning.
- Propose proactive technical optimizations for the system to ensure long-term sustainable solutions.
- Manage the Dashboard Backlog for Operations/Architecture (JIRA documentation/prioritization).
- Lead discussions on prioritization with business managers to establish clear directives for development prioritization.
- Provide leadership through coaching in both development (within an Agile framework) and software licensing operations, introducing a macro-level approach to service desk management and offering a global structure.
Required Skills and Experience:
- People Management: Minimum 5 years of experience in managing IT professionals.
- Project and Maintenance Experience: Minimum 10 years in JAVA-based systems. With the ability to read, understand, and coach
- Tools: Confirmed experience with Agile, JIRA, and a strong understanding of DevOps practices.
- Understanding of Digital Health Flows: Knowledge of FHIR and e-Health systems and flows is ideal.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with a basic understanding of French.

- Strong abstract reasoning skills.
- Ability to independently distill problems, develop proposals, and suggest scenarios.
- Demonstrated leadership through coaching, fostering a strong team spirit.
- Excellent communication skills, aiming to maximize organization-wide collaboration.
- Hands-on, flexible, and able to formulate a clear vision.
Location: Brussels for 2 days / week (teamdays), combined with teleworking.
