Within our Business Unit Cinema we bring the experience of Movie Goers to the next level. We develop world leading laser based projectors, including state of the art media servers.

Product development is thriving in Barco, so we are looking to expand our team in Liège with a Software Test engineer.

As our SW Test engineer, you plan, design, implement and run manual and/or automated tests for design verification and product validation.

You will join the Cinema team of 6 software & testing engineers in Liège (Val Benoit). You will also work with our international teams around the globe, located in India, US, Japan, China,...

Maybe you’re a seasoned engineer with many years of experience under your belt. Maybe you’re a graduate, fresh out of university and looking for a great career starter.

Don’t worry if you don’t have all the skills mentioned below, you will learn. We’re looking for attitude and ability, not just proven skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • You plan, design, implement, run test cases (manual and/or automated). You analyze and report test results, find current gaps in test coverage and prepare test scenarios.
  • In case of any issue found, you report and track defects and inconsistencies to development teams and follow them closely.
  • You collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
  • You work with cross-functional / multicultural teams to find solutions and ensure quality throughout the product and software development lifecycle.
  • You plan and manage your own time to meet time schedules and quality objectives.

Your profile
  • A degree in Computer Science would be nice, but experience rules. Tell us what you’ve got.
  • You have experience in the complete test development life cycle of products and software. Being familiar with ISTQB standards is a must.
  • You have a feel for programming and scripting, or you know programming languages, such as C# or Python.
  • You work accurately with attention to detail.
  • You have good organizational and time-management skills.
  • You have teamwork skills with the ability to work well across disciplines and departments.
