Supply and Planning Manager

The Supply & Planning team of MPU HAV (WN26) is responsible for the end-to-end short to long term production planning and capacity management of the MPU as well as the follow-up of batches release for formulation. It is also responsible for the accuracy of the inventories to prevent stock outs.

The Supply & Planning Manager is reporting to the Head of Logistic of the MPU and is responsible, with his/her support, for delivering, optimizing and continuously improving (eg digitalisation) all the associated activities to help the MPU increasing capacity as patients are waiting for our HepA vaccines (Havrix/Twinrix).

He/she will also help prepare and be the deputy of the Head of Logistic in key governances (eg CCC/SRM, GVSC Weekly Supply, GPLT, Tier3, etc) and help drive Continuous Improvement and capacity increase projects in collaboration with GVSC, site Logistics, QC, Finance, MSAT, etc

Your responsibilities:

  • You lead the Production Capacity Management process for the MPU in establishing the 3-year capacities plan with Production and Technical Services, communicate it to Global Vaccines Supply Chain (GVSC) and maintain it up to date at annual budget reviews.
  • You drive an integrated Production Planning / Scheduling for the MPU (production, shut down /maintenance, validation, requalification, calibration & measure); you manage the MPS and convert planned orders into process orders to meet our customers’ demand, you work on the optimization of our production capacity utilization, products shelf-life, and validation requirements; you validate the availability of resources to meet the MPS (manpower, equipment, raw materials and active product) and lead daily/weekly supply meetings; you ensure, with the Logistics team, that the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) meet the production schedule (MPS); you guarantee the respect of the stock policies; you ensure cross-functional adherence to the plan and recommend solutions supported by cost/benefit/risks analysis in line with our safety, quality and volume requirements.
  • You drive Product Flow and Batch Release in ensuring that the final bulk batches put in stock are released and sent on time to formulation; you closely monitor the blocking issues with the various functional owners (batch records, QC testing, environmental monitoring, deviations, change controls); you are the MPU SPOC for batches release leadtime reduction projects.
  • You ensure inventory accuracy in tracking with KPI’s that all SAP data on IM inventories within MPU are aligned with physical stocks, escalating gaps and orchestrating improvement projects with Production; you optimise inventories to reduce storage and working capital costs whilst ensuring adherence to production schedule; you monitor and reduce raw materials and products write-offs and communicate with Finance on how improved the way to manage them.
  • You master the Data, Tools & Processes related to the activities above: you ensure the accuracy of the SAP Master Data (planning, production, maintenance); you own and master MPU businesses processes and tools related to supply planning (eg SAP transactions and the pilot RTMS tool) and train end users; you analyse these data to create more effective schedules.
  • You benchmark internal supply & planning processes, tools and ways of working and identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities to help the business deliver HepA-containing vaccines to patients better and faster.

  • University degree in Supply-Chain, Engineering or Natural or Data Sciences/ Programming
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an international pharmaceutical environment
  • Solid understanding of supply-chain and vaccines production processes
  • Demonstrated data analytics & computer skills (SAP/APO, MS Office, PowerBI, etc)
  • Fluent in French & English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:
