For our customer we’re looking for a Windows System Admin

The IT & Business Transformation (ITBT) department of our client supports several types of activities:

  • Business activities. IT activities allowing the company to manage his assets, his resources, …
  • Real-time active IT systems (Operational Technology).

Both allow to unfold efficiently and develop. It ensures that our client is equipped with autonomous computing, as its needs and technologies evolve.

The IT Production Department within ITBT currently covers two types of activities:

  • Infrastructure type activities, which encompass all activities relating to the management of IT infrastructure (networks, datacenter management, systems operations and monitoring, workspace management, end-user support, management of technological innovation, etc.);
  • IT Operations type activities, which include activities specific to the management of application chains (integrations, application deployments, application monitoring, incident management).

The production department deploys IT infrastructure consolidation, evolution and security projects (Network, Servers, OS, Middleware, end points, etc.).

Vereisten

Our client is looking for a “Senior Windows Administrator” having expertise in the following areas mandatory:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) Microsoft’s PKI. Knowledge of Microsoft 3-tier administration architecture (T0, T1, T2). .
  • Implementation of the Group Strategy to structure and meet the needs of the Operational Technologies (OT) department. Group policies configuration, manage and operate computers and users in corresponding tiers (Microsoft 3-tier architecture).
  • Configuration of Windows Server services including DNS, NTP, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), volume management, file and printer sharing, high availability, clustering, backup and system recovery.
  • Knowledge of Windows security mechanisms, identification and implementation of GPOs to strengthen the security of systems (hardening). Securing SMB/CIFS, configuration of Windows Defender Credential Guard, detection of suspicious activities.
  • Knowledge of WSUS and SCCM to apply security updates and patches.
  • Having knowledge of PowerShell
  • Be able to troubleshoot Windows performance and Windows security issues

The following elements are a plus :

  • Be able to perform minimum operations MS SQL Server database (Monitoring, backup).
  • VMware/ESX: Be able to create and manage virtual machines on ESX.
  • Knowledge of AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer software in order to audit and analyze the rules of firewalls, routers, VPNs and other security devices.
  • Work in close collaboration with Linux experts and become his backup in short periods.

What is your background? :

  • Between 5 and 10 years of expertise in most areas listed above.
  • Open and flexible you are always looking for the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Pragmatic and to the point you are ready to learn new technologies.
  • You have a broad expertise in different infrastructure areas.
  • Expertise in “industrial” environment is a “plus”.
  • Work in close collaboration with Linux experts.
  • Holding a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification is a “plus”.
  • Strong expertise in either French and/or Dutch and good expertise in English.
  • Be able to describe procedures in a formal way such as operation guides, disaster recovery procedures
  • Be able to rebuild a system conforming to the disaster recovery procedures
