Your Profile:

  • Education level and background:
University or higher (technical) university college diploma

  • Technical knowledge:
Good understanding of automotive technology

  • Learning & Development experience:
Insight into managing a training plan
Good understanding of the importance of training- and certification related building blocks (job roles, certification durations, exemption rules, etc.)
Good understanding of L&D challenges and managing workforce skills

  • Breadth of expertise:
Broad knowledge of NMSC and Retailer operations
Training techniques and learning technologies
KPI development and management
Digitisation and process improvement

  • Competencies:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong relationship- and team builder skills
Strong presentation skills (in front of large stakeholder groups)-
Strong capability in convincing stakeholders to adopt new ways of working
Strategic thinking and business acumen
Creative problem-solving skills
Project planning and project management

  • Language:
Fluent in English (TME business language), other European languages desirable

Your team and your responsibilities:
The role of The Academy Europe at TME is to strengthen and monitor the technical knowledge and skill level of 16,000+ Retailer technicians in Europe to ensure Safety and Fix-it-Right when working on Customers’ cars.
This includes:
  • Creating the right environment and programs in which NMSC trainers can efficiently transfer the latest product/technology knowledge and diagnosis/repair skills to Retailer technicians
  • Managing and improving the Pan-European standardised training & certification process through TEAM25 for all 4 technician levels.
  • Leading the delivery of train-the-trainer events with the support of external partners through virtual training sessions or at the TME Training Centre, as needed.

Your responsibilities:
1. For the Pan-European certification of technicians, you will lead the implementation, roll-out, follow-up and continuous improvement of a new and standardised training process (TEAM25) and a Digital Skills Certification tool (Mobilar®).
2. Organise and supervise all sub-processes in order to achieve this:
  • Analyse current and future training- and certification needs
  • Define and manage the Pan-European certification- and training targets
  • Define, construct and manage the content of a Pan-European training plan
  • Draft and manage a TME Project Plan
  • Closely monitor, follow-up the NMSC Implementation Project Plans
  • Ensure overall efficiency and inter-operability of the related systems and tools (SABA, Mobilar®, project management tool, …)
3. Within The Academy Europe, you will act as a:
  • Single-point-of-contact towards TME and NMSC staff members for handling the Learning Management System and the Digital Skills Certification tool related questions
  • Content expert on the TEAM25 training strategy- and content towards NMSC Training Departments and responsible content providers
4. Support the development of new blended learning technologies & tools to make learning fun, engaging and more interactive for NMSC trainers and for technicians.
