Main Mission: As Tools Manager for Decathlon Marketplace, your mission is to lead proactive management and optimization of third-party tools essential for large-scale commercial and support operations. You’ll drive change management projects, ensuring seamless tool integration and optimization to meet marketplace goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Management and Optimization:
Take ownership of managing and optimizing a diverse range of third-party tools critical to Decathlon Marketplace’s commercial and support functions. This includes CRM platforms, support tools, and business-critical applications like Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Freshdesk, or ServiceNow.
  • Tool Administration Ownership:
Act as the primary administrator for these tools, focusing on documentation, training, and change management. You’ll manage upgrades and tool development, ensuring meticulous administration and continuous improvement.
  • RFP Management:
Lead RFP processes to select tools that align with marketplace needs. You’ll evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure tools meet functionality and efficiency standards.
  • CRM Enhancement:
Drive the CRM RFP process and lead initiatives to enhance CRM tools like Zoho, Salesforce, or Odoo, optimizing these platforms to streamline business processes and improve customer engagement.
  • Change Management:
Manage large-scale change management projects, ensuring smooth tool implementations and upgrades. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, address concerns, and drive tool adoption.
  • Strategic Contribution:
As the inaugural role holder, you’ll influence the future direction of Decathlon Marketplace, driving innovation and operational efficiency to achieve marketplace objectives.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Treatment Tools:
Proven experience with Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Freshdesk, or ServiceNow is essential, particularly in administration, documentation, training, and change management.
  • Minimum Coding Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python for customizing and integrating tools as per business needs.
  • CRM Expertise:
Extensive experience with CRM platforms like Zoho, Salesforce, or Odoo, with deep knowledge of CRM functionalities and best practices for customization.
  • SQL Experience:
Strong SQL skills for data management, extraction, and analysis to support decision-making and ensure data integrity.
  • Communication Skills:
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and driving consensus across teams.
  • Change Management Abilities:
Proven experience in leading change management initiatives, with the ability to manage stakeholders and align organizational goals.
  • Collaboration with Digital Teams:
Work closely with digital teams to ensure seamless integration of third-party tools with internal systems, coordinating integration efforts and troubleshooting compatibility issues.
  • Seller-Facing and Team-Facing Solutions:
Ensure tools effectively meet the needs of both seller-facing and team-facing functions within the Decathlon Marketplace.


Additional Details:


  • Location Preference: Preference will be given to profiles located in Brussels or those willing to relocate. If remote, the person in this role will be required to come to the Brussels Marketplace office at least twice a month for a minimum of two days.

  • Experience in Marketplace Platforms: Experience in managing marketplace platforms or e-commerce ecosystems would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies for project management is preferred.
  • Software Vendor Management: A track record of successfully managing software vendor relationships and negotiating contracts is highly desirable.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs is crucial for success in this role.
