The Company
They are an intelligence- and AI-driven company that gather and interpret data through sensory devices in order to gain more insight in human behavior. They offer this platform as a service to their customers, many of whom are a part of the Fortune 500 (like Tesla, Spotify, etc.). Their goal is to create personalized engagement services and products using AI. Their team has rapidly grown to 60 people, spread over the US, UK, Canada, Lithuania and Belgium.
The Job
As the VP of Mobile Engineering it will be your job to lead the mobile engineering team as they develop SDK’s for data collection and data processing. This data will then be embedded in other apps. You will also help the team support the delivery of on-device development (for example to create a more privacy-sensitive solution without significant battery impact). Your tasks will include forming recruiting, mentoring, coaching and retention strategies, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of the SDK implementations and setting up roadmaps. Furthermore you will also maintain the standards and best practices in the software development, facilitate communication with other teams and provide work estimation, planning and execution within your team.
You

  • Have a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Computer Science (or something related)
  • Have strong Software Design Skills
  • Are Fluent in English
  • Have extensive knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Have over 8 years of experience in software engineering and over 3 years as a technical lead
