RESPONSIBILITIES
As Accounting Assistant you contribute to the realization of the corporate goals by executing, within the transactionmanagement function, the required administration and accounting activities:
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard and maintain a proper execution of the purchase to pay cycle workflow starting from invoice receipt to invoice payment
- Accurate control (PO vs Invoice) and correct processing (in line with internal and external processing requirements) of invoices related to procurement of materials, goods and services in line with the purchase to pay workflow (i.e., control, scanning, authorization, ...)
- Safeguard a proper document management focused on managing the incoming document flow and maintain an efficient and effective archive to enable fast and accurate document consultation
- Prepare and conduct periodic (monthly) physical stock counts and process stock count results
- Support the chief accountant by means of providing relevant/required financial information to facilitate the closing process and cut-off. Prepare periodic reconciliation between the general ledger and sub ledger
- Maintain close contact with different departments in order to guarantee a proper and accurate execution of the purchase to pay cycle and initiate/execute timely corrective actions
- Safeguard a proper execution of the corporate pre-defined authorization rules and matrices
- Operate as a local focal point for suppliers and safeguard a correct and timely payment
- Participate and contribute in both financial/non-financial improvement projects
Additional Responsibilities
- Reception (telephone/visitors) in French, Dutch and English
- Forwarding incoming telephone calls
- Sort and process, i.e., unpack, check, register, incoming material supplies
- Participate and contribute in both financial/non-financial improvement project
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Flexible and Accurate
- Very good communication / presentation skills in both Dutch and English
- Act with integrity and objectivity, treat all information confidentially
- Hands on mentality
- Result and internal customer oriented
- Team player
- Good general accounting skills and knowledge of local GAAP
- Very good knowledge of the business support and transaction management function
- Good IT knowledge with regard to MS office and MS Business Central
