For Belgian group quoted on the stock exchange Captains of Finance is hiring an accounting managerfor a temp assignment.

We are currently looking for a GL Accounting Team Leader for a temp assignment.

Your Responsibilities
  • You are responsible for the largest operational companies of the group (Import activities and repair activities) supported by a team of 10 FTE’s.
  • You coach and develop softs and hard skills of the team with a strong and frequent communication’s culture;
  • You build and maintain business relationships with internal and external partners, other departments and other third parties;
  • You are responsible for the completeness, accuracy and punctuality of the monthly, half-year and yearly closings;
  • You keep on improving efficiencies associated with the General Ledger accounting: automation of salaries, recurring entries, stock movements, etc.;
  • You make sure the monthly VAT is reported on time to the Tax department, Corporate Income tax return are also filled in on time;
  • You are the SPOC of internal and external auditors in all GL Accounting matters.
  • +10y of experience in General Accounting with strong people management experience.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Dynamic with great leadership skills.
  • Practical, results-oriented team builder with good problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to present, communicate initiatives, results and analyses to multiple levels of management and employees.
  • Looks for improvements, process efficiency and automation.
  • Very good knowledge of French and professional knowledge of Dutch
  • Knowledge of SAP is a must.
  • Experience in Big4 is a strong asset
