Application Specialist Patisserie

For our Belux department within Puratos and based at our headquarters in Groot-Bijgaarden, we are looking for an R&D Application Specialist Patisserie. In this varied role, you will propose and apply innovative concepts and solutions to the lines of our industrial, semi-industrial and possibly artisan customers.

What does your growth path to become our specialist look like?

• Initially, you will develop in-depth product knowledge and be responsible for implementing new products and concepts on industrial lines. You will also participate in the early stages of new developments and the creation of demonstration concepts.
• You will then build good contacts with customers by working in a very solution-oriented way.
• A large part of your role also goes to Business Development support to Sales. Think about:
  • Identifying new business opportunities for major customers (prospecting)
  • Detecting products at risk
  • Implementing appropriate solutions (existing and new)
  • Giving internal and external presentations and seminars to explain the benefits of our products
  • Participate in strategic exercises aimed at developing our business in the above-mentioned products.
• Furthermore, you will learn to accurately manage all technical administration.
• Thus, you will become a leading expert in the product range through training and practical experience, building your expertise and network within a specialism.

Who are we looking for?

• Do you have a Bakery degree or Bachelor’s degree in food science with a strong scientific background and a passion for industrial processing? This position is open to junior profiles as well as those with experience.
• Are you customer-oriented with a sense of business development opportunities?
• Are you prepared to act with safety and food safety in mind - while adhering to our quality procedures?
• As 70% of our customers are Dutch-speaking, we are looking for a bilingual NL/FR colleague. English is a plus.
• Do you have knowledge of standard MS Office package (emphasis is on Excel) and SAP? Do not hesitate and apply!
