Position SummaryAs our lead human resources generalist, you will play a critical role ensuring that our 70+ employees in Asia, Europe and Gulf are well equipped to deliver on our mission. With direction from the Executive Director, International HR Services and the Finance Director, you will provide leadership and tactical support on all people-related matters across the business, ensuring best practices and superior customer service. You will advise the Managing Director on key HR issues and implement agreed policies.
Responsibilities
Department Management
- With direction from Executive Director and Finance Director, drive, implement human capital strategies that support the growth of the business while ensuring employee engagement and management effectiveness.
- Manage all HR day-to-day operations/initiatives/timelines.
- Manage the talent acquisition process for The Conference Board, ensuring we are recruiting and selecting top talent to join the organization
- Maintain and improve recruitment processes and systems, interview and selection processes, offer process
- Track and analyze talent acquisition metrics
- Partner with Marketing to enhance our employment brand and communicate this externally
- Manage contract recruiter(s) throughout International Region
- Partner with colleagues in International and the US to develop a training and learning curriculum to drive the development of TCB employees
- Develop materials for and facilitate interactive training sessions
- Solicit feedback and drive improvement for training programs
- Manage relationships with AG Insurance on Belgian pension, health and other benefits.
- the organization’s U.S. health & welfare benefits with expertise in benefit issues ensuring the CHRO’s and TCB Benefits Administrative Committee guidelines are followed.
- Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required government regulations and filings.
- Handle Belgium payroll for 2022 and work closely with HR Manager thereafter.
- Supervise foreign payrolls in UK, Switzerland, Hongkong and Singapore in close relationship with Finance Director and finance department in Brussels
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of all bonus/merit increases, salary banding, annual employee letters, compensation benchmarking, HRIS.
- Partnering with the Managing Director and Finance Director contribute to the development of compensation packages and programs that align with TCB’s strategic plan.
- Partnering with the CHRO, manage the review process, development meetings, create timelines for talent reviews/promotions, and develop a robust curriculum of learning.
- Liaise with inhouse legal counsel on Performance Improvement Plans, documenting performance issues and separations.
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology is required
- 10+ years human resource business partner experience.
- 5 years managing health & welfare and pension plans.
- Demonstrate strong competence in all functional HR areas, including benefits, compensation, employee relations, staffing, learning/training and organizational effectiveness.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Belgium employment laws and a solid understanding of HR practices, laws and regulations elsewhere in International region.
- Positive, can-do attitude, mature minded.
- High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, diplomacy in interactions at all levels.
- Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to anticipate needs proactively.
- Conflict resolution skills and experience-honed judgment.
- Excellent customer service skills; helps others develop and be successful.
- Act with urgency in a highly adaptable and ever-changing work environment.
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated, independent.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, and other Office applications
