Biologic Product Project Manager

For our sterile production site located in Belgium in Brussels (Neder-Over-Heembeek) which is currently expanding its capabilities, we are currently looking for a Biologic Product Project Manager

The role

• Works independently or with the support of a Project Coordinator, based on the complexity of the project;
• Manages and coordinates all project activities from inception to completion (including handover to Commercial);
• Interfaces and negotiates with the project stakeholders to define the key objectives, deliverables, expectations and the planning of the project;
• Manages the project’s performance, daily tracking, risks assessment (including mitigation plans), follow-ups and updates in line with the project plan and the customer’s requirements: scope, deliverables, budget, resources, planning and quality;
• Supervises and coordinates the organization, planning and technical implementation of the project activities of all stakeholders;
• Ensures timely communication and up-to-date information to relevant internal and external stakeholders ; reports the project progress ; escalates information, delays, risks and actions to governance when needed;
• Builds, leads and ensures coordination and alignment of multi-disciplinary project teams, comprising representatives from relevant functions;
• Ensures the coordination, alignment and validation of technical, development, documentary, planning and quality aspects of projects;
• Organizes, conducts and develops content for numerous workshops and meetings for internal and external presentations;
• Proactively identifies Project deviations (time, resources, etc.), evaluate options and implement alternative solutions with the team;
• Supports on site during Project Manufacturing phases;
• Documents all project activities.
• Identifies customer requirements, evaluates and optimizes time and resources to carry out the various stages of the project;
• Is able to effectively negotiate to settle differences, to identify potential opportunities and to maintain positive relationships with external and internal clients.
• Participates to the preparation and elaboration of price offers (quotations) on new outsourcing projects or related activities, in collaboration with the Product Development Director and the Catalent sales team.
• Participates in EHS initiatives;
• Is compliant with safety standards for internal staff and for subcontractors.
• Ensures that QAR / Invoicing / Payments / Forecasts are made according to the evolution of specific services / activities related to a project.

The candidate

• Master of Science or Master Scientific in Engineer, Biotechnology or equivalent, Economics/Business Management
• 3+ years of experience in project management, pharmaceutical industry or equivalent
• Expertise in Sterile manufacturing is a plus
• Good knowledge of cGMP environment and Product Transfer preferred
• PMP or PM certification / course preferred
• Fluency in French and English
• Customer and Patient oriented;
• Strong interpersonal skills (proactivity, diplomacy and pragmatism);
• Strong analytical and logical skills;
• Strong communication and presentation skills (including: ability to formulate and communicate comprehensive materials and project presentations ; ability to clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders);
• Strong coordination – organization skills (planning, multitasking);
• Problem-solving skills, a hands-on "Can Do" mentality and dedication to provide results;
• Ability to peer review data to ensure data is well organized with complete documentation;
• Ability to make decisions which have significant impact on the projects;
• Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret financial data;
• Ability to understand internal and external stakeholders’ points of view and to negotiate while integrating different viewpoints;
• Ability to adapt quickly in a complex, fast paced and changing environment;
• Team player.
