Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Business Development Manager - Acute Care - this is a hybrid role in Aalst, Belgium.As a Business Development Manager Acute Care, your day will be filled with strategic business development activities, hunting for new and significant sales opportunities, and positioning our solutions to senior stakeholders. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, lead market shaping initiatives, and drive incremental sales and services in acute care .
As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management.
As a key member of the MDS Benelux leadership team, the Business Development Manager Acute Care will shape the acute care market environment in favor of the MDS value proposition. This role will lead strategic business development activities, identify significant sales opportunities, position our solutions to senior stakeholders, and play a crucial role in deploying the MDS Benelux commercial strategy.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Driving incremental sales and services in acute care hospitals for MDS products and solutions
- Developing account strategies, in conjunction with multiple sales teams, to increase category share across the MDS portfolio
- Building and managing relationships with key decision makers within and outside hospitals and engaging with C-suite and other senior partners in the market on our MDS value proposition
- Rapidly growing the MDS footprint in new accounts by selling the MDS value proposition at the highest levels within the organization
- Be the expert in the MDS selling process and messaging
- Demonstrate sophisticated knowledge of MDS products and solutions, industry insights, key competitors, terminology, technology trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation, etc
- Demonstrates advance knowledge of how MDS offerings match with customers’ unique business needs
- Negotiating and collaborating optimally with customers and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieving consensus
- Building and sustaining relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Crafting and driving a significant pipeline with a single focus on hunting for new sales opportunities
- Collaborate closely with other members of the commercial function including Account Managers, Sales Manager, Medical & Clinical, Marketing, Strategic Account Management, Public Policy and HEOR. Consistently applying all resources available within MDS and BDX
- Mastering a project-based, collaborative and customer-centric approach in your daily activities and supporting cross-functional Customer Success Teams that assure customer satisfaction and success
- Leading and deploying strategic business development and market shaping activities in the acute care setting
- Support Account Managers as needed with overall operational management of the account, cross-selling and upselling as appropriate
- Proven experience in the medical device industry, with career progression in relevant fields. Prior experience in (key) account management is a plus
- Strong clinical background and experience in a clinical environment
- Experience working in a multi or international environment with complex business models, evidence-based track record in solution selling and cross-functional selling to key decision-makers
- Business savvy with a strong commercial attitude, business sense, and ability to work towards agreed targets
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for effective interaction with all levels of internal and external staff
- Ability to engage, involve, and influence cross-functional teams to drive desired outcomes for customers
- Willingness to adapt to new, diverse, and ambiguous situations, rapidly identifying key levers of success
- Proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
- Embody trust, integrity, and ethics inside and outside the company
