The Industrial Venting Solutions engineers @ Donaldson are creating products to protect enclosures (Pressure equalization to avoid condensation, Barrier against particles and liquids, and Resistance to high temperatures and/or chemicals). SUMMARY

You will plan, control and generate complex CAD designs & production drawings independently based on a task definition and consistent with customer requirements, manufacturing and engineering standards.

You will have a close relationship with:

• the Application Engineering team in EMEA to define the most appropriate technical solution according to our customer specifications
• the Lab team in Belgium to provide support in laboratory test and prototype creation
• the design team in the US to align on product designs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpret all drawing requests, gather relevant information and generate/supervise accurate CAD-drawings, meeting technical requirements in accordance with company policies
• Translate ideas/sketches into new design concepts or redesign existing parts/products from sketches, verbal instructions and recommended improvements
• Recommend changes in design to improve quality standard and functionality at a favorable cost
• Check CAD work and maintain work schedules according to priorities
• Stay abreast of latest designs, methods, techniques, materials and other advances in CAD Engineering/Technology
• Generate technical illustrations and artwork to support presentations and sales leaflets.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor/Master Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• +/- 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting design (CAD-3D / 2D)
• Automotive plastic injection background would be ideal

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCES:

• Comprehensive knowledge of CAD Design (NX, CATIA or Pro/Engineer) and manufacturing technologies of applied products (plastic components)
• Able to work with global remote entities (US &APAC region)
• Written and spoken communication skills in English, any other language is an asset.
