What The Job Is About

In this role, you will be part of our growing finance department with international scope. Together with your team, you will be responsible for the A-to-Z accounting and administrative flow of Sofico NV (Belgium) and our legal entities in The Netherlands, France, Germany, UK and Mexico.

• You will supervise, manage and support the accounting team in Belgium in the daily accounting & financial transactions (order to cash, procure to pay, ...).
• Together with your team, you ensure a correct and timely closing of all accounts. You also coordinate and supervise all monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• You and your team members guarantee compliance with the legal obligations of each company, such as the timely and correct delivery of annual accounts.
• You have the final responsibility for consolidation (according to Belgian standards).
• You ensure follow-up of intercompany transactions and payments as well as reconciliation of intercompany positions.
• You are the go-to person for financial audits and (financial) reporting.
• Our accounting partners abroad will refer to you as their SPOC.
• You are closely involved in the business, which will allow you to interpret figures correctly and make adjustments when needed.
• You have a broad general knowledge of and interest in taxation, you therefore play a leading role in tax matters such as calculating corporate tax, tax optimization, …
• Optimizing the processes for the 6 entities under your authority.
  
  

In this position you will work closely together with our Global Accounting Lead.

Your interest and skills

• You have a Bachelor/Master in Accountancy/Tax and can look back on at least 5 years of relevant experience in A-Z accounting, preferably in an international environment in the services industry. This experience allowed you to gain solid experience in taxation.
• You are at ease managing a small team and making sure everyone is headed in the same direction.
• You combine a leader’s mindset with a helicopter view. You detect optimizations and know how to implement them with your team. You are a go-getter feeling comfortable in taking on new projects.
• It goes without saying that you are passionate about data and numbers and you value accuracy.
• You are in your element in an international yet hands-on company. You know how to tackle things and would like to grow in the rapidly evolving, international Sofico story.
• You have a positive attitude and show eagerness to make the difference for Sofico.
• You master Excel and get acquainted quickly with accounting software. Experience with Exact Globe is a plus.
• With your excellent knowledge of Dutch, English and French, you ensure a good interaction with customers, vendors and colleagues across the globe. Knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.
