As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our team. Located in our Ghent Distribution Center (Belgium) , you will be Claim Handling Specialist
Basic Purpose and Function
Responsible for handling Automotive Replacement claims related to the quality and / or technical issues with supplied by Gates parts and providing aftersales service to the Gates customers.
He / she is responsible for:
- Performing the claim handling tasks according to the Warranty and Non Warranty Complaints document
- Initial verification of the claim electronically registered / provided as a file
- Processing claim analysis in a standardized way:
- Managing all claims as tickets in the case management software: C4S SAP Hybris
- Documenting all received claims by collecting technical data about claim (New/Installed part, root cause, supplier verification)
- Taking decision related to the claim (accepted, rejected), based on the analysis result, his/her knowledge, skills and experience.
- Providing information via C4S SAP Hybris communication :
- Reporting and Monitoring the Key Performance Indicators:
- Participating in Train-the-trainer and Share-the-knowledge practices with Product Managers and technical team.
- Improving the Quality of Gates products by taking preventive actions, focusing on data analysis, gaining the knowledge about root cause of the problems and involving supplier of the parts
- Supporting the technical team by providing and sharing the technical information on claims of all Gates Drive System and Cooling System products, and on relevant technical trends.
- At regular intervals assists in translation of technical literature to inform and educate Gates’ customers and installers on complicated or critical applications, product features, installation issues, etc. in co-operation with the Technical Support Team. Proposes new publications based on feedback of the market.
- Participates at Product Management, Tech Support and Claim Handler events when needed (e.g. Tech Days, Sales Conference etc.)
- Increases Brand Awareness and Gates’ loyalty through service to the customer.
Position Dimensions:
Reports directly to the Technical & Warranty Manager.
- Takes decision on accepting or rejecting customer´s claim based on collected data and within targeted response time.
Contacts:
Contacts coordinators as often as necessary:
- Customers,
- Product Management positions,
- Technical team
- Sales Coordination team
Works with all internal levels of management, to ensure that division and departmental objectives are met.
European and World Wide Aftermarket Management to stay in tune with global growth strategies.
Other (travel, working conditions, unusual work schedules):
Works out of Gates Aftersales Technical Expertise Center office in Ghent.
Travelling to other Gates entities for trainings or meetings and to customers if required.
Skills:
- Knowledge of automotive technology.
- Must speak fluent English, Spanish and Dutch are a plus
- Must have good communicative skills, verbal and written, to all levels of automotive market
- Has good knowledge of MS Office software: especially Excel is required (pivot tables)
- Analytical skills required
- Team-player able to cooperate between Gates Europe departments.
Education/Experience (minimum required):
- Experience in the automotive industry
