Overlooking the stunning escarpment and nestled in the heart of the Illawarra region is the iconic North Gong Hotel. Featuring three bars, a massive outdoor beer garden, state of the art TAB, an elite private function area and our locally renowned Bistro, everyone is welcome at North Gong Hotel.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become a Commis Chef with ALH!

What You’ll Do

  • Setting up workstations and operating kitchen equipment
  • Baking, grilling, steaming or boiling fish, meat, vegetables and other foods
  • Adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean workspace at all times
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Keeping up with cooking techniques and methods

What You’ll Need

  • Experience working in a hands-on, team focused bistro style kitchen
  • Knowledge of cooking practices as they apply to the relevant venue’s menu
  • An uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Flexible availability
