Zoetis, a spin-off from Pfizer, fully dedicated to animal health, has installed in Belgium and Ireland its international headquarter based on a principal model (BEP) – Strategic decision being taken in Ireland and several support functions still located in Belgium. Finance, Logistics and Manufacturing support activities are included in Zoetis Belgium in Zaventem, Belgium and Dublin, Ireland. Production and some support activities are located across the International and US markets. US activities are managed directly from the US.

JOB PURPOSE:

Compliance Manager-Sr Manager will need to provide business support, testing of controls and follow-up of remediations plan for GMS activities (US, Int and APAC), BEP operations and commercial inventory will be part of the daily routine, with numerous challenges and opportunities ahead for someone eager to learn and quickly develop his/her professional skills and business acumen.

The Compliance Manager-Sr Manager will work closely with Control owners across the organization and will communicate adequately all findings in order to ensure appropriate escalation and definition of remediation plan.

The Compliance Manager-Sr Manager will also have to ensure first lines discussions with external stakeholders (KPMG) and internal stakeholders (ZSOX and IA).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main activities / responsibilities

  • Daily Activities and Reporting
  • Draft risk assessment
  • Develop testing plan based on risk assessment
  • Supervise and perform testing as per testing plan
  • Remediate initial findings
  • Timely escalation of issues detected when needed
  • Follow-up of defined remediation plan
  • Preparation of monthly dashboard
  • Provide ad-hoc support to business when required
  • Follow-up on KPMG and ZSOx/IA requests
  • Ensure first line discussion of findings with KPMG/ ZSOx/ IA

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop / share best practices
  • Participate / lead in continuous improvement initiatives / projects

People Management

  • Compliance Manager-Sr Manager has one colleague directly reporting to him/her
  • Ensure adequate knowledge sharing and appropriate collaboration within the team
  • Coach & develop the direct report(s) to be best in class and provide guidance where needed

Network and Collaboration

  • Build and nurture a solid collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders; i.e. BEP finance team, GMS finance COE, SCL and ES colleagues, US Controllers (and EY), KPMG
  • Scope is global meaning Compliance Manager-Sr Manager will have to work with GMS sites across the globe
