Duties:

For one of our clients in the transportation sector, we are looking for a Cyber Security Incident Response Officer. You will have a varied set of tasks, where the focus lies on threat detection and handling. Think of daily duties such as:

  • Incident Handling: Respond to cyber security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate threats.
  • SOC Engineering: Develop, maintain, and optimize SIEM and EDR systems, create detection rules, write playbooks, and automate responses to ensure strong security posture.
  • Threat Detection and Hunting: Proactively identify threats and vulnerabilities, conduct threat hunting exercises, analyze security data, and work with the SOC team on threat remediation.
  • Collaboration and Guidance: Work closely with other organizational teams to mitigate security risks, develop incident response procedures, and provide guidance on best security practices.
  • Project Contributions: Contribute to various projects by rolling out new products or platforms, maintaining them, and automating manual tasks with scripts.s

What are we looking for?

  • You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, while also being in the possession of relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GNFA, GCIA, GREM, ...
  • You have hands-on experience with relevant tools and skills such as SIEM, EDR, networking protocols, scripting languages (Bash, Python, Powershell), etc.
  • You are fluent in English and ideally have proficiency in either Dutch or French as well
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and responding to security incidents, with expertise in incident response tools, forensics, and malware analysis
