We’re looking for a data specialist to join our client’s team, focusing on the development of data pipelines and enhancing data integration processes. This role involves working within an Agile environment to support critical data management initiatives.

Responsibilities And Tasks

Your responsibilities will include the implementation of functional and technical analyses for the migration of on-premise data warehouses to new cloud-based solutions. You will be tasked with creating new data flows for emissions data while leveraging Databricks and Azure Data Factory. This involves:

  • Developing and managing data ingestion pipelines for water and air emissions.
  • Working with various ETL tools, specifically adapting legacy systems to modern cloud platforms.
  • Ensuring the validation of reported data through established data governance processes.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to facilitate data reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data warehousing and cloud-based data solutions. Core qualifications include:

  • Demonstrable experience with Databricks and Data Factory in an Azure environment.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and development of ETL processes.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate and extract insights from large data sets.
  • Fluency in Dutch (CEFR level C2) and strong English language skills.
Additionally, familiarity with BI tools, specifically Cognos or similar, and experience working within government or public sector projects is a plus.
