EHS Manager - Antwerp, Belgium - Permanent

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy, aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead initiatives to enhance (conventional) safety culture, ensuring that EHS principles are embedded in all levels of the organisation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal/external stakeholders on all EHS matters (except nuclear).
Ensure compliance with Belgian and EU regulations, including environmental and occupational health & safety, .
Establish and oversee a safety management system, ensuring workplace hazards are proactively identified and controlled.
Lead and manage the incident investigation process, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary
Implement and sustain a culture of continuous improvement by integrating best-in-class safety and environmental practices.
Participate in safety assessments of process equipment during the engineering and manufacturing phases, ensuring potential risks are identified and mitigated before implementation.

Required Experience

A Master’s Degree in life or environmental sciences, occupational health & safety, engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in EHS Management
EHS Prevention Advisor level 2 certification
Experience with pharma environment is a must
Experience with nuclear environment is a plus
Experience with building construction is a plus
In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, EHS regulations, and best practices
Good communication skills, efficient communication with internal stakeholders
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch
