Thales Belgium SA (Tubize site) is looking for a:

Engineering Planner

Mission:

As part of our engineering group of THALES Belgium, the Engineer Planner will be responsible to establish and follow progress of projects based on engineering planning.

The engineering planner needs to be a technical passionate, keen with technologies with a strong experience of engineering. Based on his/her previous expertise in IT or telecommunication systems, he/she will be able to have a deep understanding of the overall planning in a multi projects environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Interface with the solutions engineering manager (SEM), to compile engineering planning and prepare workload computation;
  • Interface with the project manager (PM), to ensure engineering commitments is aligned with project schedule
  • Interface with the Software/Hardware Manager (SwEM/HwEM), to ensure software and hardware are aligned in terms of planning;
  • Take the lead in the systems planning with an eye on other projects;
  • In charge of consolidating a global planning on designated projects
  • Produce an overall workload related to the produced global planning
  • Produce KPI related to engineering activities progress ( time-time curve)
  • Report engineering activities progress to SEM and Operations Engineering Manager

Profile:
  • Graduate degree in Engineering preferably in Electronics / Telecommunications/ Electrical;
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in complex technical projects planification in aeronautics, railways, automotive industry (or similar)
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technical integrations, technologies and processing environments.
  • Consulting and advisory experience with demonstrated skills in translating project planning in work packages planning is an asset.
  • Deep understanding of planification methodologies (PERT, GANNT, critical path analysis, …)
  • Fully conversant with planning software MS project, must be a super user
  • Certification in Prince2 or PMP is a plus
  • Customer satisfaction and results oriented;
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Fluent in English (professional capacity), French or Dutch is a plus.
