Job Opportunity: EHSS Specialist

Our client, a global industry leader, is looking for an EHSS Specialist to join their team at the Haasrode, Leuven site. If you’re an EHS professional or Prevention Advisor Level 2 with experience in distribution, supply chain, or logistics, this role offers the perfect opportunity to advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll lead and enforce EHS best practices across various departments, becoming the go-to expert for safety and significantly contributing to the overall well-being of the team.
  • By conducting internal audits, particularly focusing on ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards, you’ll ensure the site meets high compliance standards, fostering a safer and more efficient workplace.
  • Your coordination of Seveso III regulation training and processes will be critical in maintaining regulatory compliance, helping to prevent costly legal issues and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Managing and documenting EHS processes, along with supporting incident investigations through root cause analysis, will enable you to prevent future incidents, thereby enhancing the company’s reputation and improving employee satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring:

  • With your higher education and Prevention Advisor Level 2 certificate, you’ll be well-equipped to tackle the challenges of this role from day one.
  • If you have experience in distribution or logistics, you bring a unique understanding of the operational challenges in these sectors, making your insights invaluable for tailoring EHS practices to the site’s needs.
  • Your fluency in Dutch and English ensures clear communication across departments, which will greatly enhance team collaboration and ensure compliance.
