Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the IT director, the ICT Officer is expected to contribute to the work of the developers’ team to design new applications and to improve the efficiency of the existing ones, write and keep documentation updated required for the applications and contribute to the team by supporting, updating and managing Euractiv’s online applications.

The ICT Officer is expected to initiate process improvements to better answer user demands, provide technical background in the development of new products and services, troubleshoot ICT equipment and other related tasks assigned to him/her.

Summary of key functions

Very good knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Very good knowledge of WordPress, Drupal, Bootstrap framework, Laravel, Symfony
Working experience with GIT, GitHub
Good knowledge of LAMP/Lemp
Experience with Google Analytics, Google API, GCP
Experience with newsletter services, SEO

Experiences with developing platforms for mobile applications

Functional Competencies

Coordinate with the IT team and other service support providers to effectively resolve incidents and requests.
Supervise and process help desk support requests.
Assist in Google Workspace administration and user support.

Basic administration of Windows operating systems.

Required Skills

Post-secondary education in science related subject and/or relevant IT qualifications with specialized formal training in computer Science.
Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills in English.

Working knowledge of other EU official languages is an advantage.

Other details
