To strengthen our Supply Chain team, we are looking for a high caliber, self-motivated, Head of Local distribution Compliance based in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium

You like to work in an environment where you will:

• Drive Distribution compliance, specifically in the areas of thermal and mechanical shipping qualification; using market best practices and applying a Risk Management mindset

• Develop a robust UCB Shipping Qualification Framework, including the overall Strategy, engaging with Stakeholders, and applying continuous improvements to Governance and Processes

• Support new product launches

• Serve patient needs by rapid response to distribution compliance related supply interruptions or applying and agile mindset to drive solutions

• Strategize for innovation to facilitate UCB’s needs of today and in the future

• Partner with the distribution team for the selection and qualification of Global carriers.

• Support the review of the quality, supply and distribution agreement with partners.

• Protect the company reputation and drive business value

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

• You have +8 years relevant and working experience in international pharmaceutical logistics management and/or supply chain expertise with excellent understanding of GDP, product mechanical and thermal protection guidelines

• You are experienced in providing overall direction and leadership of a diverse team of compliance professionals accountable for the development, implementation and management of distribution compliance, in UCB’s global distribution operations.

• You are experienced in assuring pro-active risk management by deploying comprehensive risk assessments for key areas including distribution compliance (product mechanical and thermal protection) and making sure response plans are followed.

• You are experienced in global shipping methods and systems meeting local regulations in terms of design, shipping qualification, implementation, ongoing monitoring for effectiveness.

• You enjoy engaging with a number of different stakeholders, including internal in the area of Quality, Regulatory, Logistics etc. as well as external including vendors of shipping solutions, Carriers and their Compliance and Quality representatives
