Job Description

As HR Operations Manager, your responsibilities will evolve regularly and, as a result, the successful candidate will thrive on change. Your main duties will involve ultimately:

  • Lead the development and execution of all Brussels local HR policies and processes in partnership with local and global colleagues ensuring that local practices are taken into account in broader initiatives.
  • Responsible for running the day-to-day management of all employee life-cycle processes in the Brussels office, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Continuously seeks to optimize local HR support structures and processes to improve quality of services.
  • Provide answers & advice on well-being and prevention, absence management, performance management, disciplinary issues and career transitions and ensure all issues are managed in accordance with the internal policy and local employment law requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and other HR related regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with the global HR policies.
  • Local representative for recruiting process and collaborate with other HR colleagues to set and align on recruitment strategy.
  • Drive best practice performance management process including the year end process (development committee and salary and bonus review). Supports line managers with training and upskilling where needed.
  • Line Manager for two direct reports.
  • Contribute to global HR initiatives and projects while ensuring these initiatives are embedded in local practices and communicated appropriately.

The Successful Applicant

The successful HR Operations Manager brings the following experience :

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a role of HR Manager or HR Business Partner
  • A proven track record of managing projects in a complex and highly professional environment
  • Experience working in a fasted paced, consultancy or business services environment
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written communication
  • Experience in team management role and developing employees
  • Strong understanding ofBelgium employment law
  • Strong teaming skills, ability to build effective working relationships across functions and geographies
  • Ability to work independently and structure work priorities in an ever-changing environment
