The IT Lead/Chapter Specialist will partner with Plan and Supply chain organizations to build, enhance, and support SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), OM Partners and other planning applications while coordinating, scheduling, and executing releases for projects, enhancements, and base business corrections for the global Pharma, Consumer and Clinical Supply chain platforms that are operated out of EMEA This role will be providing Supply chain planning and ERP platform solutions for Plan processes in close collaboration with Business Unit It and Business partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of Supply Chain Planning Projects, enhancements, break-fixes as well as integrations with other systems which requires the use of specialized technical & functional knowledge. This role requires a combination of Planning business process and technology expertise. Although the primary focus is on the PLAN related processes and functionality collaboration is required with other SCOR areas (Make, Deliver, Source). Primary Responsibilities include: Lead the design and deployment of SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), OM Partners Planning projects Support the supply chain & financial product flows Provide escalation support and the integration of the platforms with SAP, JDE, OM Partners, and other legacy systems Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of SAP, ERP, APO, and OM Partners solutions, balancing the often-competing needs for innovation and standardization/process harmonization, to develop/propose solutions. Develop a clear understanding on the architecture of the systems/applications in scope. Deliver high quality and cost-efficient applications, lead functional enhancements, and participate (within area of expertise) in projects as PLAN SME Execute and deliver IT solutions per SDLC methodology, to assure a firm delivery of security and audit requirements (SOX, GxP, IAPP). Onboard and review the user requirements/user stories mainly in PLAN (demand planning, supply network planning, capacity planning and detailed scheduling, distribution planning, etc.) and translate these into functional and technical specifications Understand the acceptance criteria from user stories/requirements (where applicable enhance them) and guide the design of test scripts that are necessary to validate the IT solution. Coordinate the required development activities and perform configuration where needed. Understand the validation strategy and define as well as lead unit (TAT) and Integration (SIT/FIT) testing deliverables based on acceptance criteria. Prepare cut-over activities and guide execution in Plan area, but drive interactions with other SCOR areas (Make, Deliver, Source, etc.). Provide post go-live support and drive the smooth transition of projects into the support organization. Act as an SME for complex support issues and guide the support teams where applicable Control the implementation of changes (deployment). Ensure that these changes do not disrupt existing functionality on these productive clients. Assist Platform service owners in budget preparation for new demand (advice on high level solution proposal and impact analysis towards the existing systems/functionalities within area of expertise). Oversee the work of vendor resources throughout a project and in capacity teams. Provide guidance and expertise to team members in executing the projects/enhancements. Develop service improvement plans and/or run service improvement initiatives. Liaise with respective platform RTEs to align on the release schedules of various platforms and facilitates the releases of projects (along with Project leadership) Assures User stories prioritized in Backlog of existing Scrum teams Identify the dependencies between user stories across work streams and along with Scrum master and Product Owners push them into right sequence. Along with the different scrum masters, identify and resolve the impediments for the respective scrum teams Regular progress reporting to the leadership on different deliverables (projects/ enhancements) Qualifications Education: A minimum of Batchelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field is required. An advanced degree (masters) is desired. Experience and Skills: Required: Have over all 10 years of IT experience and 5+ years of experience working in key roles like Team Lead, Functional lead for global organizations with large scale implementations & transformations in complex environments. Possess sound functional and technical knowledge on one of the supply chain planning applications (ECC, APO, OMP, others). Willing to build functional and configuration experience both in OMP. Sound knowledge of SCM Planning & execution processes and applications is a must have. A very good understanding of various components of the product lifecycle (repositories, versions, and releases) of supply chain applications is expected. Should possess good documenting skills: able to author key SDLC artifacts (Design documents, Test scripts, Process flows etc.) Able to Participate/Lead (where applicable) Backlog refinement of existing Scrum teams along with Business analysts and product owners. A keen eye to identify the dependencies between user stories across work streams and along with Scrum master and Product Owners push them into right sequence. Experience working on multiple initiatives in parallel. Ability to work independently, as well as seamlessly collaborate with the necessary teams when required. You have strong experience in working with a Global & virtual team and in a multicultural environment, with key stake holders located across different geographical regions. Good understanding/ experience working in GxP Regulated environment. Good understanding/ experience working in Agile/SAFe Agile environment is preferred Very good communication in English, both written and spoken is a must have. Adept at working in a matrix organization. Ability to influence (direct/indirect) stakeholders outside own organization is expected. Experience in leading vendor resources working on the projects/ enhancements within the scope. Other: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong affinity for Supply Chain Planning. Result driven. Flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend work when deploying solutions).
