Introduction

In order to further develop our sustainable growth internationally, we are looking for an International Sustainable Development Manager. As an International Sustainable Development Manager your main focus will be on clients who are looking to invest in solar panels and/or sustainable buildings. Your clients will consist of real estate developers who are mainly based in Europe (focusing on France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden, and the UK).

You will become part of a driven and dynamic sales team that ensures that sustainability is developed in all its facets for our international clients. You will be able to rely on the know-how within Encon and will have the freedom to further develop your region successfully.

Job Description

  • You are able to map out target audiences and actively seek out the possibilities in your European region.
  • Your main products will be:
  • Project support for solar energy: from the feasibility study to delivery
  • Project support for Green Building Rating Systems (BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, etc.): as the expert and assessor
  • You actively seek out prospects to add clients to your customer portfolio and are later able to develop new projects with them because of management of the relationship.
  • You can identify construction projects (both new construction and renovation) for the development of sustainability projects.
  • Your contacts will be the technical and financial decision makers at managerial level. Reliant on the know-how Encon possesses you will make a first analysis together with your client on the potential and needs of this client.
  • You will be equipped with a wide range of solutions in order to reach an offer with added value. The core of this is formed by a well-founded business case and financial calculations.
  • You can actively think along with the business strategy of your client.
  • You are able to formulate and convey added value to your clients in a commercial aspect. You always take the ‘total cost of ownership’ into account.
  • You are focused on the long term development of Encon.
  • You evaluate the market in order to respond to the evolving changes within the market and the competition.
  • You attend networking events and are closely involved with the real estate and construction industry in order to develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships.
  • You are able to work closely with the operations department for the development of your projects.
  • You are able to work with different software packages to ensure a thorough follow up with your clients (CRM, ERP)
  • You will report to the Chief Development Officer.

Your Profile

  • You have more than 10 years of experience in B2B Sales, and preferably in the sales of solutions and added value.
  • Experience in the real estate sector and international experience are a bonus.
  • You are preferred to hold a master’s degree in commercial engineering, applied economic sciences, commercial sciences or an equivalent obtained from experience.
  • You are fluent in English, professional working skills in any other language is a bonus.
  • You are passionate about sustainability.
  • You possess thorough and relevant technical-commercial experience in a B2B environment. If this is also within the energy sector that is an added bonus.
  • You have proof of experience with C-level negotiations.
  • You must possess technical affinity in order to be successful.
  • You are able to close a deal thanks to your commercial skills.
  • You are customer-oriented. You actively listen to your client’s needs and you propose solutions proactively.
  • Your entrepreneurship, ambition, and drive to independently expand a region give you energy.
  • You are a self-starter. You are able to work with autonomy and work remotely.
  • You possess clear financial insight.
  • You possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • You are a generalist and a result-oriented person.
