Then you’ll want to join our IT Manufacturing, Development Sciences teamas the IT Lead - Labs and Development Sciences,based in our Braine l’Alleud office in Belgium.

As the IT Lead - Labs and Development Sciences, you’ll play a leading role in envisioning, organizing and directing the setup, maintenance and process improvement of strategic application and system deployments, across the global landscape of process development, analytical , quality control laboratories.

You like to work in an environment where you can:

• Own the delivery and support of standardized and globalized solutions based on LIMS (Labware - Laboratory information systems management), ELN (Electronic Lab Notebooks)
• As part of Digital Business Transformation initiatives, co-lead and partner with world class scientific teams and together refine and implement the concept of smart laboratories (digitization, data & analytics)
• Utilize your expert technical and functional knowledge of laboratories applications to drive the scope and results related to multiple project plans (milestones, deliverables, budget) and ensure quality “run” and reporting activities
• Apply your passion for collaborating across multiple departments and managing relationships with global and regional IT, stakeholders and partners

You will contribute by:

• Delivering projects in close collaboration with all parties involved while following the UCB IT project methodology and associated documentation (URS, FS)
• Driving decisions and influencing stakeholders , process owners on a global level
• In collaborating with IT Enterprise Architecture to develop and evolve data & system architecture
• Maintain and operate all IT systems in the scope of responsibility , in a compliant and most secure state
• Managing a team of highly engaged project managers and subject matter experts
• Tapping into your passion for continuous growth by staying up-to-date with new technologies, industrial trends and related legal, regulatory and compliance requirements while evaluating their implications for UCB

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or Biotechnology with strong affinity for computerized systems and digitalization
• Proven ability to work across functional and regional boundaries, challenge status quo, and handle multiple projects simultaneously delivering on time and on budget
• Ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups and facilitate brainstorming sessions
• Fluent in English ( French is a plus) with excellent communication and change management skills

Your Experience:

• Experience in regulated (GxP) process focused on computing
• 10 years’ experience in IT role in a global company, preferably Pharma industry
• Atleast 5 years of experience in Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN)
• Knowledge of additional laboratory & manufacturing applications (LIMS, MES, …) and scientific data management systems is a plus.
