Janssen Supply Chain MAKE MES Business Process Owner (f/m/d)
The JSC MAKE MES Business Process Owner will be responsible for the overall business design, evolution & investment strategy,operating model, performance and standardization of the process areas enabled by Pharma MES business systems, and their related master data.
The position will guide the current and future system deployments while representing Pharma business and operating needs in the Enterprise systems and deployment initiatives, ensuring process/system harmonization, driving alignment, shaping innovation, orchestrating operating model and maintaining process blueprint across JSC MES systems as appropriate.
This includes acting as the JSC key point of contact for all MES matters (different project phases, internal, enterprise, sector) and providing Janssen business expertise and process oversight during implementation end-to-end between key pillars of the Supply Chain to guarantee business process standardisation and best practice implementation on all JSC sites. This role will ensure site readiness and base business management during current and future deployments.
The JSC MAKE MES Business Lead will work collaboratively with the MAKE Business Leads for TranSCend, MAKE ERP Business Lead (Legacy ERP Systems) and Next Generation Manufacturing (NGM) team to ensure alignment and standardisation of all changes with these critical interdependent programs. During the TranSCend and NGM deployment phases they will support the Change Management and Business Readiness activities to ensure flawless execution and minimal business interruption as well as providing Cutover and Hypercare support.
Key Responsibilities Are As Follows
- Act as Business Owner for JSC MAKE MES Systems (Business Process, MES Master Data & Content and standards)
- Define business deployment strategy and prioritization in the context of supply plan
- Provide oversight for overall JSC MES Portfolio Delivery and ensure Site Readiness and essential capabilities for base business management.
- Act as the JSC key point of contact during current and future deployments (internal, enterprise, sector, site, design, governance)
- Act as the JSC MAKE key point of contact for MES issue escalation and resolution.
- Act as Business Owner for JSC Make for MES Periodic Reviews, preparation and execution in collaboration with technical and quality partners.
- Collaborate with MTO leads and other supply chain partners to implement continuous improvement insights and projects as needed
- Support multiple business functional domain leaders across key supply chain pillars to integrate new transformational capabilities into existing process portfolio in collaboration with the NGM program
- Acts as the key JSC MAKE MES business liaison between the Technical and Quality teams and the MAKE MES business teams
- Act as key liaison for NGM MAKE Business teams with the TranSCend and Legacy ERP Business Leads
- Drive collaboration across functions to provide solutions that meet customer needs and enable business growth.
Required Minimum Education
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred
- 10 years of related experience in Supply Chain (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver). Line Management experience in Manufacturing, Quality, or other function is preferred. Experience in Operations Excellence/Lean/6-Sigma would be desirable.
A diverse business background with Supply Chain Operations competencies inclusive of product innovation, planning, customer & logistics services, and manufacturing. Experience working in a global setting, specifically: multi-cultural / multi country locations, logistics. Experience in Business Processes and MES knowledge and practical application is required. Practical experience in the PAS-X system is preferred. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills is required. Travel on the Job: 25%, 50% at peak
Proven Success In
- Driving operational excellence across the organization, with measurable, financial, quality and cycle time results.
- Understanding the linkages in supply chain from demand planning through delivery to customer.
- Leadership experience in line management or global/regional setting in associated business function is preferred.
- Creating a future vision and gaining support and alignment to that vision.
- Developing working strategic plans in alignment with the corporate strategic goals.
- Driving in a large-scale business transformation project is preferred
- Strong leadership skills. Significant independent decision-making spanning multiple disciplines. The position requires to prioritize multiple competing priorities to ensure projects are completed successfully and issues are resolved.
- Strong understanding of financial, operating and business factors relating to Manufacturing/Supply Chain
- Demonstrated ability with multi-dimensional Change Management
- Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of stakeholders
- Strong partnering and understanding of relevant end-to-end product and process knowledge and how supply chain capabilities drive E2E Business Performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with proven ability to influence/collaborate to get to desired result
- Ability to support and coach plant team and change agents throughout the deployment
- Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts, with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally. Makes the customer central to all thinking.
