WHO WE ARE

The Suez Smart & Environmental Solutions global business unit (SES) aims to accelerate the development and roll-out of our smart environmental solutions on a global scale. To meet the demands of a growing and highly competitive market, the SES BU is organized around two complementary approaches:
1- via Solutions, to ensure rapid development and service-to-market. There are 5 solution lines: digital and decentralized solutions, environmental quality & smart agriculture, asset performance management, air & climate, and consulting & smart city.
2- via geographies, in relation to the other Group entities (i.e. the 6 Regions and the Global WTS BU), to ensure optimal service and customer-centric offers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

SUEZ Consulting is part of SES Business Unit and is the engineering and consulting branch of the SUEZ Group. Suez Consulting’s mission is to support cities and industrial facilities in making their ecological and energy transition and in adapting to the effects of climate change. Our talents are therefore operating in the environment sector (water, waste, biodiversity, etc.), urban planning, energy and mobility sectors. SUEZ Consulting is also involved in the strategic missions of the Group Suez to support its development in new business lines and or new activities related to its mission.


You will join the International Department (ID) of SUEZ Consulting, which is present in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. International activity represents just under half of SUEZ Consulting’s total activity and is its main growth driver. The international projects are financed by donors (AFD, WB, ADB, EU, EIB, etc.), they meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are mostly carried out in emerging countries.

To join our International Bid Department, we are looking for a :

Your mission
Based in Brussels, under the responsibility of the Head of the Bid Unit. You will join a team whose role in orchestrating calls for tender plays a crucial role in identifing new business opportunities for SUEZ Consulting and expanding our network of clients and partners.You will be responsible for supporting the Bid department in replying to calls for tender in close collaboration with an experienced Bid Manager and will be in charge of :

  • monitoring the market (business intelligence) in our sectors of activity with the main international financial institutions - IFIs (EU, World Bank, ADB, AfDB, ...);
  • drafting of pre-qualification files;
  • preparing responses to expressions of interest in accordance with the clients’ requirements, both technical and financial (methodologies, planning, budget, etc.)
  • recruiting internal stakeholders, with the support of the Recruitment department
  • reporting and analysing results


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • you have a degree in engineering or equivalent and have a first successful experience in relation with our activities;
  • you have a real interest for international projects and tenders from international financial institutions (IFIs: European Union, World Bank, African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, or bilateral cooperation: AFD, etc.) ;
  • analytical skills, writing skills, technical and budgetary rigour are essential qualities ;
  • you are fluent in English and French and have very good written and oral communication ;
  • finally, and most importantly, you are motivated to join us, and enthusiastic about the idea of participating in the international development of Suez Consulting!
