Job Description

Within the France Benelux Commercial Department and reporting to the Sales Director of the division in France Benelux, the Key Account Manager Discount will be responsible to develop Discount Channel for the France Benelux Cluster on the 3 categories (Stationery, Shaver & Lighter).

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Cluster strategy and business plan for the Discount Channel in line with the EU / Global guidelines.
  • Further develop this growing channel in NS but also in profitability.
  • Coordination with the International/EU Discount Sales & Marketing Team
  • Define & develop opportunities in Discount Channel, Like new potential Customers, New products, categories, approaches, …
  • Identify customer needs and opportunities based on a clear analysis of the market.
  • Negotiate on a higher level with local buyers for product ranges (obtain new listings and develop existing product selections) within defined limits and in line with the sales policy.
  • Optimize overall working relationships & communication with other departments & all DIV’s (e.g. Marketing, Forecast, Customer Service, Finance…)
  • Define and manage (in collaboration with Trade Marketing) tailor-made actions and promotions and set up a challenging promotional plan based on national marketing plans.
  • Monitor customer budgets from A to Z.
  • Provide a forecast per customer together with Forecasting Team to ensure availability & prevent overstocks.
  • As product specialist, advise local buyers and buying groups about our assortments, market figures and trends, competitors, etc. and provide them with professional support on their category development.

Qualifications
  • Higher education with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Similar Sales role in FMCG;
  • Knowledge of the France Benelux Discount Channel is a must.
  • Experience in category management is an asset.
  • Experience in establishing clear sales & promotional plans in line with Group policy;
  • Drives for results, teamwork, responsibility, communication skills, problem solving, entrepreneurial spirit, hands on mentality
  • Negotiation skills, confidence, adaptability, initiative, perseverance, business acumen, personal effectiveness, organization, analytical skills, agility
  • Hands on mentality
  • You think out of the box & share your ideas internally
  • Fluent in English, French with Dutch as a big asset
