Key Account Manager

Within the Healthcare division, Barco is recruiting a Key Account Manager.


The key area of responsibility of the Key Account Manager is to create business by hunting for new large/multinational accounts that can be developed in Large/Strategic Key Accounts for Barco. These accounts can be in the domain of Displays as well as in the area of integrators across the EMEA region.

This position requires to be an effective & credible counterpart for C-level/higher management positions in large, multinational accounts. It requires working at regional EMEA level. This role is part of the Healthcare EMEA Key Account team and reports to the Key Account Director.


Key responsibilities:



  • Acquiring new accounts in the area of Display business and Integrator business
  • Manage, develop & guide accounts from prospect stage to farming stage (Hand-over)
  • Expedite growth in selected growth regions by executing account acquisition & development targets
  • Business- and Market co-creating with new accounts by setting up the sales & marketing plans, financial targets and monitoring & supporting execution
  • Providing monthly sales forecasts, measuring realization and meeting/exceeding account and growth targets according to the profit plan
  • Meeting regional strategic & tactical plans regarding the new account contribution part
  • Detect & develop new (strategic) business opportunities in collaboration with segment- & regional management
  • Secure and make key account information available internally in accordance with company processes and tooling
  • Steer and influence other internal stakeholders (sales staff, other departments, divisions, regions,…) in order to realize key account plans and objectives
  • Suggest optimization of company processes and organisation in function of the key accounts

Your profile:



  • Bachelor/Master degree in business, economics, marketing, engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years experience in sales, account management, market/business development in the Healthcare industry
  • Experience in the area of Diagnostic Imaging, Healthcare IT or Surgical is a plus
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation
  • Extensive influencing and people skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Fluency in English is required
