JOB DESCRIPTION

INTRASOFT International, a leading European IT solutions provider, is seeking on behalf of one of the European Institutions based in Brussels, a professional to cover the following opening:

Knowledge Management Consultant (m/f)

As the Wiki platform is growing in size, the European Commission requires the reinforcement of the team. In particular, we need to ensure the development of the tool as well as the overall user support of the tool. This includes the development of the existing R&I Knowledge platform Wiki (content and technical aspects), the day-to-day interaction with users, the follow-up of user issues, as well as customised user support, the quality of the content uploaded and the preparation and organisation of training material, wikipages etc.

The R&I Knowledge platform has been created under Atlassian Confluence.

The future candidate will assist the Commission personnel in the management, design, development and maintenance of collaborative end user Knowledge Sharing tools.

NATURE OF TASKS

• Development of the R&I Knowledge Base in Atlassian Confluence: content
  development, organisation of the structure of the Wiki
• Contributions to wiki sites, collaborative sites and/or social networks
• Development of SharePoint sites
• Elaboration of manuals, information campaigns
• Contribution to the preparation of the Knowledge Strategy
• Close cooperation with the (wide variety of) services involved in developing the R&I Knowledge Base
• Coordination with the teams.
• Follow-up of service quality
• Develop indicators and monitoring on Wiki use
• Conception and organisation of user documentation for knowledge tools.
• Participation in user, service and project meetings.
• Contribution to information sites and maintenance of the unit’s knowledge base

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and skills:

• Proven experience in using knowledge management systems like Atlassian Confluence
• Proven experience in Knowledge Management such as structuring, classifying, labelling and sharing information
• Good knowledge of a combination of the following technologies and tools: Atlassian Confluence, SharePoint, ADOBE Photoshop, Captivate.
• Knowledge of front end web development (JavaScript, jQuery html and css) are considered an asset
• Good experience in using collaboration platforms such as SharePoint is a plus.
• A keen sense of teamwork, a flexible approach, strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent English communication / writing skills. Good communication skills
• Good knowledge in change management
• Knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites and social networks
• Proven experience in bridging between IT and business
• Proven experience with web-authoring
• Experience in e-learning, preparation of training courses
• Good IT skills
• Good reporting methods

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

• Ability to give presentations in English
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team; leadership capability

• Minimum 6 years with higher post-secondary school degree
• Minimum 9 years without higher post-secondary school degree
  Specific expertise
• Good knowledge of Knowledge Management and Atlassian Confluence tool.
