As the Learning & Development Specialist, your role is all about the design and the delivery of the learning and development interventions in stores at all levels. You will be working in partnership with the Area Managers, Store Managers and management teams to contribute to the effective operation of the store.

Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager Benelux, you will help ensure our people are proud to work for us by championing and promoting our (learning) culture and DNA.

As the Learning & Development Specialist you will:
  • Carry out capability assessments across the retail teams;
  • Design blended learning solutions;
  • Use digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programmes;
  • Apply adult learning theories to ensure colleagues get the best out of their development;
  • Design and facilitate a range of learning interventions – face to face and/or online, including technical and behavioural programmes;
  • Collaborate with the wider P&C team and other retail functions to deliver first class learning to all our retail colleagues;
  • Monitor how effectively learning has been transferred to colleagues at all levels;
  • Administer and manage the Digital Learning Platform;
  • Manage the administration of L&D e-mail inbox;
  • Support and advise on the Apprenticeships/Graduate/Internship programmes across the retail stores;
  • Review, update and advise on the developmental programmes that are delivered across the retail colleague population;
  • Drive a culture of continuous professional development;
  • Create a coaching culture in the organisation;
  • Keep up with the business updates and changes;
  • Review the training calendar and the course portfolio and advise when updates are required;
  • Ensure participant targets are being met for courses and review/adjust communication when required;
  • Optimise colleague morale and promote a positive work environment whilst ensuring colleagues are fully aware of company policies.

We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Specialist with:
  • Experience with the design and delivery of blended L&D interventions;
  • A bachelor’s degree specialising in HR, Psychology, Education, Communication or related;
  • A creative and innovative approach to training;
  • Working knowledge of digital content programmes in the Articulate 360 Package including Rise, Storyline 360 & Review;
  • Experience using Canva, MySimpleShow or Vyond (not essential but desired);
  • Excellent ICT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Teams and the wider Outlook suite;
  • Strong coaching skills;
  • Good team working skills;
  • The ability to demonstrate credibility within the organisation;
  • The ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels;
  • A structured way of working and a high attention to detail;
  • Fluency in French (both verbal and written) and a good level of English (both verbal and written), a level of Dutch would be preferred;
  • A flexible attitude and the willingness to travel to our stores.
