Those connections offer new perspectives, drive innovation, and offer the hope of a new generation of therapies that will help improve lives on a global scale.As LIMS Process Solution Manager, you are the Global Business Expert of the Labware LIMS Solution in charge of managing an efficient, lean, and compliant LIMS labware system across UCB.This job offer is for a permanent contract.Mainly, You Ensure
  • That labware system is built fit for use and maintained in a way that it supports the various laboratory analytical processes in an efficient, compliant, and effective manner
  • That business requirements are understood by the IT solution experts
  • That business knowledge management (incl. training material management) and the continuous improvement of the solutions are managed and under control
  • Consistency of LIMS data structure across processes and in its connectivity with other systems (SAP, LDMA, ELN)
  • That projects linked to Labware LIMS are supported. The goal will be to link business needs and IT constraints, to deliver lean processes within the modules and ensure sustainability thanks to E2E testing
Your Main Accountabilities Are
  • Maintain perfect and deep knowledge on how the Labware system is configured to support all analytical processes, sample flows, specification and analysis design, stability settings, visual workflows, reagents and solution management, environmental monitoring and all related interfaces.
  • Manage a robust and lean governance around LIMS analytical data structure ensuring data access and queries.
  • Manage consistency of LIMS data structure across processes and in its connectivity with other systems (SAP, LDMA, ELN…)
  • Manage that systems knowledge, settings, table structure and data logic are adequately documented and maintained.
  • Evaluate side effect of any proposed modification (change requests, new projects) to the Labware system on laboratory business processes.
  • Provide expertise in the modules to improve it as much as possible, which can include revamping, standardization and alignment of processes, proposals to IT to improve the technical design; but also writing of procedures, trainings and coaching of local key users.
  • Manage Documentation and procedures in scope and ensure trainings are provided.
  • Support and contribute to all projects impacting directly (new modules, new version) or indirectly (new interfaces, data interchange with other systems like DARTH) the Labware LIMS.
  • Act as project manager and/or business analyst of laboratory projects related to e-transformation of processes and implementation of digital technology
  • Regarding LIMS projects, you :
    • Understand business needs and propose solutions.
    • Link business needs and IT constraints in projects, to deliver lean processes within the modules.
    • Support design of the solution from business perspective, Define, validate, and review requirement specifications
    • Ensure requested development to IT are matching business requirements by testing in depth new functionalities in systems
    • Plan, define and support appropriate User Acceptance Test
    • Build training material or coordinate with local key user
  • Provide input for continuous improvement, business roadmap and long-range plan definition of the system in partnership with management and IT.
  • Manage appropriate communication of system changes to user community.
  • Contribute to the establishment of the portfolio budget and operating budget.
  • Manage System maintenance and Business System Compliance.
  • Ensure a safe working environment to meet safety objectives.

  • You have a master’s degree (required) in the scientific field
  • You have one or multiple of the following certifications: Lean 6sigma, project management.
  • You have 3 years or more of experience with Labware LIMS system
  • You have 2 years or more of experience in QC activities, analyses, and processes
  • You have practical knowledge in system interfacing
  • You are skilled in data management
  • You are used to have interdepartmental interactions (business, IT, QA) within the framework of your job
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills
  • Laboratory (mainly QC, but not limited to) business process management
  • Strong analytical (laboratory) background.
  • System minded: understand quickly how systems functionalities can support business requirements
  • Labware LIMS: perfect knowledge of system functionalities
  • SQL language, LIMS BASIC
  • Trainer skills
  • Project Management
  • Stakeholders’ management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, Fluent in English/ French.
  • Practical proven experience dealing with system (GXP) validation and data integrity compliance is an asset
  • You are a team player and open to new ideas
