Logistics Manager

As one of the key players in the Interior Decoration, we are continuously striving for optimization in our Supply Chain Organization to give our customers an excellent experience. As Logistics Manager you share the enthusiasm for happy customers and are ready to work on a continuous improvement agenda in warehousing and logistics at national and international level. You will be welcomed as an Oracian in the Supply Chain Team and report to the Group Operations Director.

How will your job look like ?

There are challenging Logistics flows to manage in our journey to the customer:

• As ORAC is growing, we are starting up 3PL warehouses around the world. You will be the person responsible to set up new 3PL partnerships (and all logistic flows) in our emerging markets. You will manage all existing and new 3PL’s.
• You will implement a strategic logistics tendering, that will be repeated on a yearly basics as a group standard. Together with the operations director, you will decide on the perfect logistics partners and mix and follow up on their productivity.
• You will be the go to person for logistics projects with high impact on our end consumers. (eg: follow up and optimization of our newly implemented track & trace from logistics side)

You also take responsibility as an expert of internal Logistics flows. There are many exiting projects to complete. Some examples?

• In 2020, we implemented a new WMS system in Ostend. You are the one that will take it to the next level as a key user and use the WMS to the fullest potential.
• We have been blessed with extra warehouse space, you are the one that will work on the perfect warehouse lay out that can support ORAC’s next level growth.
• You will reevaluate our picking methods in the light of the new warehouse layout.

You further digitize and optimize our Logistics activities (eg optimization/automation of the use of our picking carts) and inventory methods (cycle counts)

Who are you?

• First and foremost, you are interested in becoming an ORACIAN and are fascinated by our story.
• You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an Economic/Supply Chain Direction and at least 3 years’ experience within a logistics environment.
• You are a team player, passionate about building internal and external networks and can rely on your strong communication skills to do so.
• You love figures and data and make decisions based on them.
• You have a hands-on, result driven approach.
• You keep up to date with trends and technologies within the logistics field.
• You are analytical and have strong Excel skills
• You are able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a global and dynamic environment.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
