We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our European facility in Leuven.

Being a Maintenance Technician at IDT is a lot more than just performing maintenance on machines. It also includes working on new installations, project work, work order management and being in contact with external partners. All of that in combination with responsibility and independence to plan your day, taking into account a variety of factors. Responsibilities
  • Repair, maintain and calibrate DNA/RNA Synthesizers, Cleaving Machines, Robots and Laboratory Equipment.
  • Assemble new equipment.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instruction documents while performing repair, maintenance and assembly procedures.
  • Fill out logs, reports, and forms to document service procedures and calibration data.
  • Inspect work to assure accurate installation, maintenance and repair equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, routinely putting away tools and throwing out trash.
  • Practice safe working habits, follow safety policies, perform safety checks on equipment and systems, and identify, correct and report potential safety hazards.
  • Requisition and/or purchase supplies, materials, tools, machine parts and other vital equipment.
Job Qualifications
  • High school or Bachelor diploma in a mechanically related field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of mechanical repair techniques.
  • Excellent digital literacy which includes knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Be punctual, maintain a high level of organization and work in a clean way.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Good at prioritizing things.
  • Communicate in a professional way with customers, associates and management.
  • Awesome teammate who doesn’t mind working independently from time to time.
  • Read, write and speak Dutch and English fluently.
  • Lifting up to 12 kg.
  • Bonus qualifications: experience with HPLC instruments / lab experience / technical drawing (CAD) / Forklift certificate / EHBO certificate / electric pallet transporter certificate / SAP basics / HVAC experience.
