What You’ll Do:The Manager, Talent (Human Resources) is responsible for managing a small team in the EU to align corporate goals and strategies with employees and management and translate them into Talent Strategies for their assigned organization. You will partner across the Centers of Excellence (COE) to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the corporate goals of the organization. The Manager, Talent maintains an effective level of business knowledge about their assigned organizations goals, strategic plans, its culture and its people.
- Conduct monthly meetings with respective organization
- Consult with line management, providing guidance when appropriate
- Oversee and run EU payroll
- Contribute to quarterly talent reviews, talent assessment, and follow-ups
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the COE group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides Talent policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on organization restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for organization and partners with Talent Development to deliver training.
- Responsible for the off-boarding process, include exit interviews, separation agreements, etc.
- Complete processes and project work to maintain compliance in your region or function
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken) and knowledge and experience with Dutch labor law
- 8+ years of professional, related experience as a Generalist, advisor, business partner, or project/program manager in the human resources discipline
- HR experience with different European countries
- Experience collaborating with Works Councils
- Familiar with employment law concepts and ensuring confidentiality, tact and sensitivity when handling any HR / employee case
- Extremely strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
- Ability to move between operational/admin matters and being hands on & being a strategic people manager
- Thrives in a high-pressure environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
