Since 2013, DELIVER has undertaken a complete review of its network and consolidated its footprint while driving outstanding distribution operations.

The Outbound Transportation organization within DELIVER Distribution and Transportation focuses on the strategic and operational oversight to ensure reliable product supply from our Hubs to End-Customers, to maximize value to Johnson & Johnson. Next to the daily operational support to ensure fast, reliable, and compliant transport, the focus is on monitoring and improving performance, creating network visibility, and driving continuous improvement to unlock value and reimagine innovation via identification of CIPs and participations in cross-functional projects.

Guidance, coordination and operational oversight of outbound transportation to ensure reliable and cost-efficient supply towards our end-customers from our Pharma Hubs La Louviere and Beerse. This role will focus on the delivery of execution excellence in the transactional transport and administrative processes by creating a seamless integration on process-, communication- and interpersonal level between the CEVA shipping team, the network 3 and 4PL’s, the DELIVER D&T EMEA team, the EDC HUB Management Team, the Janssen Supply Chain and Commercial organization.

Hands-on coordination of Outbound Transportation Operations out of the Pharma European Distribution Center (Hub) in La Louviere and DC Beerse. Focuses on enabling execution of reliable day-to-day operations, ensuring reliability, speed, quality and compliance.
  • To coordinate Hub Outbound Operations, in alignment with the Hub Management Team, the OBF Transport Operations Lead and supported by metrics ao. OTIF@D and OTD;
  • Be the “go-to” person, Hub point of contact for J&J internal stakeholders and key business partners;
  • To own, lead and deliver standard shipping transaction processes for the EDC and to translate those into control plans;
  • To support daily operational coordination with the CEVA Teams and local Customer Service Teams;
  • To lead Carrier Operational Performance Reviews, to ensure performance target are met and to drive corrective actions and optimizations if needed;
  • To lead the shipment complaints and claims process and to drive systemic process changes to eliminate defects;
  • Drives continuous improvement aligned with the DELIVER vision, strategy, standards and international legislations, in order to eliminate non-valued activities and quality inhibitors and by measuring 3rd Party Transportation Service Providers;
  • Value creation via process and cost improvement initiatives (CIPs), drive innovation with 3PLs and further shape the sustainability framework on OBF Transportation.
  • Actively surfaces and resolves key issues with a sense of urgency;
  • Ensures adherence to Outbound Transportation Processes;
  • Embraces a culture of Safety & Compliance.

Qualifications
  • Degree: Bachelor or University degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Business;
  • Languages: Fluent in English and French, other European languages is a plus;
  • Subject Matter Expertise across Transportation, Planning and Carrier/3PL-4PL management and systems is a plus;
  • Experience in E2E Supply Chain related disciplines, good understanding order-to-cash is a plus;
  • Ability to build strong partnerships internally and externally with customer focus;
  • Skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to conceptualize;
  • Results focused with consistent track record;
