CER Groupe, a Public interest Foundation, is actively seeking aProject Manager/Principal Investigator (PI)for its site located in the area of MARCHE-EN-FAMENNE

Your Mission

As Project Manager, your main mission will be :

  • To coordinate a research project involving teams of several institutions (Belgian universities and research centers) on functional ingredients/foods. This project will be part of a portfolio of projects and will imply coordinating with the PI of 2 other projects as well as with the Project Management Officier (PMO) and Project Liaison Officer (PLO).
  • The project will mobilise the teams of partner institutions as well as young researchers (doctoral students). The PI will therefore have to assist in supervising the realisation of theses and will be scientific referent,having expertise in one or several spheres of competence related to bioactive peptides:
  • Production techniques (recombinant production, fermentation processes, enzymatic synthesis)
  • Purification techniques (chromatography…)
  • Molecular characterisation techniques (mass spectrometry)
  • Biological characterisation techniques (in vitro test/in vivo trial)
  • Molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, bio-computing analysis…)
    • To help promote and optimise the results of research, via scientific papers or with companies active in related fields

    Your Profile

    • You hold a scientific PhD
    • You have experience in bioengineering / agro-foodfields
    • You are particularly interested in topics involving functional nutritionlinked tohuman and animalhealth
    • You are a born Team Leader and have successful experience in management
    • You are at ease with project management and coordination
    • You are a good communicator and have good interpersonal skills
    • You are known for your thoroughness, your enthusiasm and your professional awareness
