To support our continued growth in the Food sector in our Belgium business we are now seeking to appoint a Product Line Lead.

As a line manager you are responsible for a number of production lines on the site. You set goals related to production and related to the performance of the various operators and Team Leaders. You translate these into concrete actions.
Throughout production you are responsible for the allocated budgets and cost management, but also for the preparation and follow-up of personnel in the form of planning and recruitment.
You are also responsible for closely following the guidelines in terms of safety, quality, costs, etc. In your position of line manager you report to the Production Manager who is responsible for this business unit.

Key Administrative Duties:
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks
    • Resource planning.
    • Ensure activities follow company workflows.
    • Communicate company/team/individual goals, and set clear performance expectations.
  • Recruitment and development of personnel – internal training, performance appraisals, mentoring etc.
  • Develop systems to improve.
  • Performance management and reward activities for the department.
  • Actively support the CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
  • Lead project governance activities such as single discipline design reviews and project health checks.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards within the department..
  • Engage and support the alignment / continuous development of inter-office workshare across several company locations.
Key Technical Responsibilities:
  • Champion Health & Safety in design and construction within the Process department.
  • As required function as a Lead on produciton lines.
  • Refine and improve the interaction with other Disciplines.
  • Interact with Clients with a view to building positive working relationships and securing future Projects / Opportunities.
  • Responsible for all aspects of technical quality of discipline deliverables including checking, use of proper forms and work procedures.
  • Develop / identify suitable tools, procedures, and standards to enhance the discipline.
  • Adhere to the company quality system as written in the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures and the Standard Operating Procedures and the specific project procedures.
  • Continuous improvement and alignment with the Central Engineering Group along with implementing procedures.

Education & experience:
  • Master in a technical direction or equivalent through experience
  • Team management or coaching experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant experience in a manufacturing or technical environment
Essential skills:
  • Management and leadership skills and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multi-tasking and communication skills.
  • Ability to build, lead, develop and motivate a team of high-performing professionals.
  • Coaching a team of employees is a passion for you
  • Knowledge of safety, quality and hygiene regulations in food is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean Management is an added asset
