Product Owner

Trimble T&L Europe - a division of Trimble - is looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner to join us in Leuven, Belgium .

You as our product owner

Together with the product and business development management, you capture user requirements to initiate and prepare a detailed product definition. It’s your responsibility to identify the user’s needs. You listen to them, but also think with them. You translate what you hear into feature requests and stories. To build the dream of the customers you work with cross-functional teams. You’re only satisfied when your results exceed your expectations. While our customers are still exploring those results, you’re already laying the work for what’s coming next.

A product roadmap has no secrets for you. You contribute to the value proposition and product business plan, effectively supporting the vision and execution: you create and own the team backlog, which includes new features, bugs and enhancements. You make sure that for each team sprint and release planning sessions, you elaborate feature stories into user stories that are appropriately sized for each sprint and organized in minimal marketable features, delivering increments that effectively respond to the needs of the business plan.

Before your product is released across the organization, you ensure that the support for the product is in place. That includes providing documentation, coordination with marketing, training for the support teams and the salesforce, setting up of OLA’s. In case of any performance shortfalls against the business plan objectives, you ensure that everyone is aware and takes the necessary actions.

Your Skills And Experience
  • You have a solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, SaaS and web technologies
  • You have experience in data analytics and a knowledge of reporting tools
  • You have proven working experience as a technical lead, test manager, data specialist, product owner or business analyst. It’s a plus if you have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in logistics, automotive or distribution as well as any knowledge of Fleet Management Systems and interfaces is a plus
  • Your creativity is unlimited and this provides you with great problem-solving skills
  • Besides that, you have outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • You love working with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
  • You have great interpersonal skills and are always working on relationships with team members and customers
