Functie
As Product Manager your mission and responsabilities are:
GENERAL:
MARKET and PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS:
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT:
Responsible for the portfolio management and development in his/her category.
Participate in workshops on your product family.
Act as an intermediary between product development and the sales force by recommending modifications or the implementation of new product lines.
PRODUCT:
Define and implement roadmaps.
Initiate and support the launch of new products (novelties presentations, POS material, events & fairs,...).
Inform internal organization about new products.
Responsible for product information in internal databases.
Support sales force by preparing all product information and sales pitches.
Briefing for catalogues, product brochures, technical charts.
PRICING:
Analyse market trends and developments in pricing.
Develop a price positioning strategy to optimize margin.
Monitor profitability KPIs and propose corrective actions.
Responsible for price lists.
PROMOTION:
Identify needs for sales actions.
Support trade marketing in the setup of promotions.
PLACEMENT:
Consider distribution strategy as key pillar in assortment definition.
Recommend product listings according to channel management and selective distribution concepts.
Participate to Sales presentations and meetings with key accounts.
GENERAL:
- The product manager is the n°1 ambassador of the products in the category/ies he/she is responsible for.
- You take the lead in the productdevelopment: elaborating the ranges, working on the positioning(value and price), defining promotions, all of these according to a specified distribution channel managment.
- You are the ambassador of your products.
- You translate the corporate strategy into a specific strategy for the owned pordicut category/ies.
- You take the lead in the development of channel management.
- You monitor category KPIs and propose corrective actions.
- You participate to the business plan elaboration.
MARKET and PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS:
- Identify markets, target segments and their needs through detailed analysis on consumer, product, competition and distribution.
- Use marketing studies; be attentive to consumer expectations / needs.

Profiel
As Product Manager:
- You have/are analytical skills, data driven and proficient with numbers.
- You are consumer oriented.
- You are collaboration driven and team player.
- You have strong communication skills and ability to deal with different stakeholders.
- You have excellent presentation skills with clear focus on key recommendations for actions and how to get there.
- You have the ability to provide purpose, commitment and transparency as well as setting clear expectations.
- Language: French, Dutch and English fluent required.
- Education: Master Degree in Economics/Management preferred or equivalent by experience.
- Experience: 5 years in similar functions.
